  • The process of bringing a product from idea to production can seem daunting and complex. Let the Dex team help with engineering. We have engineered a handful of successful products on the market now and have a few patents pending.

    What to expect? We’ll work with you through regular meetings and by communicating milestone progress, from industrial design, proof-of-concept, engineering & prototyping, to manufacturing introduction and production launch. You will have sole ownership of what we produce. Since every product is different, pricing varies as well. Competitive analysis

Pricing: Starting at $4,796 per product.

A teardown is the act of disassembling a product to identify its component parts, chip and system functionalities, and costing estimates. Results are communicated through photographs, component lists, assembly and mechanisms descriptions. Three main purposes of performing teardowns and comparing teardowns are to 1) identify innovations to improve a product in its design, functionalities and engineering / manufacturing, 2) estimate a bill of materials (BOM) to find improvements in costs and 3) if needed, present in court and litigation proceedings to demonstrate intellectual property or patent infringement.

What can you expect? Dextrous Design Engineering performs teardown analysis for any physical product and provides a report with illustrations, a bill of materials, methods of manufacturing, method of assembly and areas for improvement for the product in cost and functionality. Additional evaluations are permitted by request. When multiple product teardowns are requested, we include a comparative analysis free of charge.

  • Shao Bo Zhou is a registered patent agent, who files, prosecutes patents and represents clients in patent proceedings before the USPTO. Because the language used and timing are critical in any patent application, we advise our clients to consider patenting process as soon as possible if intellectual properties protection is important for their invention.
